I’ve used this app for years, mostly in Europe on layovers as an airline pilot. I accumulated hundreds of sights, restaurants and pubs I’ve visited. Several weeks ago the maps wouldn’t show up when I opened the app. I deleted then reinstalled it as a last resort. Poof! Everything was gone. I contacted the designers for help several times and the email address doesn’t work. Stay away from this app.

I don’t know if there’s a way to get my information without surrendering any more information. Deleted.

Unfortunately the IAP - Premium features for 0.00 option is unreachable. Is the list going to be updated?

App must not be supported. Maps are no longer displaying. Was a great offline tool.

Just returned from a visit to several European countries and after spending valuable time to get this app to work offline, it was useless to me. Never got it to work offline for European cities where I needed assistance in finding my way around. I can’t depend on this app…..deleted!

Inadvertently started to sign up again. Noticed my error and tried to get out and cancel, but totally unable to logout

We went on a trip to Rome, Florence, Pompeii and Venice Sept 2024 and used ‘CityMaps 2Go’ in each location to find where our hotel was located, restaurants nearby and where some of the major landmarks are. You are able to tag these places. Tap on the restaurants for more information and a rating score; And, you can see where you are as you make your way through the city. Excellent and helpful App for traveling in Europe.

As a long time user, I was sad to discover I could no longer add items to my new trip. And, I can’t get to the kalemba website

I love this. Easy to find your way around unfamiliar cities. You can star the places you want to see and load pix. It’s great!

The CityMaps2Go maps details no longer functions on my iPhone iOS version 17.4.1. I have several maps saved with landmarks and saved spots I like to frequent. But, now CityMaps2Go shows ZERO map details, just a blank screen with saved spots not present either. A Google search shows others having the same issue. I tried to contact the app developer but no response or resolve.

Hard to search for individual city or state. It wasn’t there!!

Totally useless purchase as maps do not show on my phone. Buyer beware.

Used to be one of the best offline maps but unfortunately they stopped to make progress and updates when the ownership changed. Now it’s one of the worst offline maps. Really sad.

This map appears to be NOT fully offline. If you open it immediately prior to venturing into no-cell-service area, it would work. However if you open the app only once you are in an area without cell service, then (even with offline maps for given state downloaded) it won't show a map.

My downloaded maps would not work offline. So disappointed

Very hard to navigate site controls.

Having navigation that does not depend on internet connection can save your trip. I often use it to orient myself after emerging from a subway in a new city. Another plus is the easy process of placing waypoints on a map. We recently toured the salt mine near Krakow. Our bus stopped some distance from the entrance. Then the tour exited the mine a half mile away from where we entered. I had marked the bus location on Ulmon. This made it a simple matter to return to the bus. In fact, we were the first to make it back.

I use this map on all my travels. Whenever I’m home, and hear or read about a place that sounds interesting, I mark it on the map. My only complaints are that there is no way to remove all of one type of icon, i.e. hotels. By the time I get somewhere, I generally already have a hotel. So all of those other icons just make the screen too busy. Also, I would like to be able to select different icons for different things, preferably ones I could name myself. For instance, one for restaurants, one for sites, etc.

Used to be great. They just cash checks based on previous ratings. Maps don’t download. Saved locations are gone. Old info.

There is nothing intuitive about this app. I emailed, asking how to add friends. No reaponse. Not worth it for free, so definitely don’t pay either.

Not sure what happened to this app, I’ve had it a long time but haven’t opened it in years. I re-downloaded the offline map and when I turn airplane mode on it just shows my location dot. No roads, no nothing. Just my dot on a blank background. Also says this app hasn’t been updated by the developer in 2 years. Might as well remove it from the App Store.

I liked them on Facebook to get my one extra free map and it’s been stuck on 3% since about January 1929. Me thinks they are just trying to get you to pay for the service. While I got one free map download, I was offered another free download to like them on Facebook - which I did. Way I see it, T hat’s free advertising for them with a guaranteed extra map - so it says. When I can afford it, I will pay for the service. It seems pretty good. Offline maps are super handy when you find yourself in a Peruvian jungle with snakes that could climb the Empire State Building. Otherwise I’m sticking to my 3 star review. Thank you for reading. PS - I would like to say that my map downloaded with ease after writing this review. I’ll take it up to 4 stars until I can test it in North Korea. Thank you.

I upgraded to pro before my honeymoon in Italy. It worked for one day without issues but then started “blanking” if I wasn’t on WiFi. I downloaded the city, province, and country maps before I went. It would only show me my location and my saved places, which was still helpful but not what I paid for. The map would only show once I got back into WiFi, and I couldn’t close the app in fear that it would go away again. After about 5 days, the maps wouldn’t even load when I had WiFi. I’m back in the states now with service and they still won’t load. It is a dead app to me now. I emailed customer service a month ago and they have not responded. I believe it is just a revenue stream for its parent company and they put absolutely no resources into it.

Download a map and mark the places you need, like the hotel, and use it. You can find where you are and direction your facing while away from Wi-Fi. Very nice.

Very usable but they dumped ALL my previously stored points. Super frustrating!

App indicates email not verified, but email says it is. Tried going to website id’ed under help, but get nothing but banner.

Did somebody/thing buy the original citymaps2go? All my stuff is gone. They want sign up not sign in and since it’s been awhile who knows. Last encounter was to purchase the PRO version and that was such a goat rope with little to no support I list interest about the same time my traveling stopped. About to start up again and it’s like I was never here. So much for tge integrity of the digital world

This used to be a great app, but it no longer works. Just shows an empty map. Restarting and reinstalling doesn’t help. If you rely on this app to find your way in a foreign place, you will get lost.

Easy to use with great detail.

This was my go to site for travel maps for several years, I bought the premium lifetime version of it and loved it. About 9 months ago the actual map disappeared to just a blank yellow screen with orange stars in the locations I had saved in each city. I tried to log out and then back in, and uninstall and reinstall the app along with several other things. The app is now totally useless. I have tried several times to contact support to help me get the map restored with no response. Sadly, I now have to use another site for maps. 😟

What can I say … CM2G always works … anywhere I’ve been.

My Pro App suddenly quit syncing among devices a few weeks ago. Despite attempts to get Support help. No answer nor help at all. There is no support

Just used the App in both Reykjavik, and Paris. Accurate, helpful, works without data connection costs etc. high marks!

so far pretty useless and hard to use newer app had it years ago and I was able to list the hotel I was at and sites and restaurants. can’t do so now

I use this app when traveling for the past 8 years and it’s become my go-to for marking my favorite spots. It’s also been a great reminder of places where my husband and I have travelled; allowing notes to help us remember prior experiences. Definitely worth having whether your an experienced jet-setter or just needing help discovering a new city. Love this app and absolutely worth the investment!

I use this every time I travel outside the US. The offline maps you can earn are incredible and you can mark where your favorite places are and never need to hold a paper map again. Incredibly useful!

There was a time when this app provided terrific offline mapping. My last trip to Europe the maps would load sometimes, other times not at all. It continually asked me to reregister. I paid the $14 for multiple map access but it was no help. I think Maps.me will fill the market space for this application quickly. Not sure if there has been an organization change but this product is no longer useful for me.

Being able to travel around a city with a reliable map allows for more relaxing travel with navigating foreign cities. Allows for you to just enjoy.

VERY disappointed. I can download a map, I think, but then can’t add places to it. Why even have it up and looking “live” when it’s useless?

First of all, you can only download one app without ads or paying. Secondly, it doesn’t even work. I downloaded one map, and when I tried to use it without data, it didn’t work, which was really bad since I was relying on it to be my map when I had no data or paper map. Total scam - do not use this app!!!

Ulmon was my favorite travel app, but when I upgraded my tablet and tried to re-download my account, I cannot due to a known issue with logging in via Facebook. It’s been months! I have submitted requests for support on an alternative way to access and have gotten NO response. It’s been weeks. If you, like me, like to keep your travel ideas and favorite locations saved, don’t bother with this app. They will not give you any support.

I used Maps2Go on a recent cruise in Spain and Portugal. Even though I had downloaded the maps onto my phone before we left for the trip, the maps wouldn’t always display without connecting to internet access first. I never figured out if I was doing something wrong or there was a glitch with the app, but when the maps did display, all the places I had bookmarked were there and we got to where we wanted without buying local maps.
