CityMaps2Go – Offline Maps App Reviews

Every time app gets updated, it gets less user friendly and less useful. Why is it no longer possible to find directions off-line and when is list of downloaded maps???

What to see in LA according to this App: the airport, the LA River, the dump (seriously), and a hundred police and fire stations. Did they even try?

Works great. Occl I have to recalibrate the compass. Highly recommend.

Great for foreign cities when you dont want use roaming data. Pre-LoAd the cities you want and you have the app always on your device

Best offline map I have found yet. I travel all over the world and there is usually a map that fits my need. Some smaller cities are not in the database. But there is always a country map.

I cant travel without CityMaps2go anymore! I remember leaving with all those maps and atlases, heavy and cumbersome... Now all is in my phone!

This is our basic travel program. We have used it throughout Europe, and find it fast, efficient, and full of useful information.

We have used the maps all over the world. It was perfect in Venice... We didnt get lost. Im looking forward to using the updated maps

Was a great app. Had a number of (paid for) maps downloaded. Just opened the app for the first time in a while to prepare for a trip. All my maps seem to have disappeared. Also, it looks like there is a limit to the mbs I can download, even though I upgraded and paid for unlimited maps.

I started using Ulmon maps in Paris: superb. Then in Seville: again great help and working of-line. Most recently in Tokyo - with great success. Thank you Ulmon - you rock

I used this app on a recent European trip. I used the app without cell data (on an iPhone 4) to find our way around Venice, Rome, Malta, etc... It worked very well and I did not have to pay for data to use it. Well worth buying the app!

Get the upgrade and see all your maps online! You can see where you are in real time, see the directions to specific destinations, bookmark places, write notes... I cannot recommend this app enough!!! AMAZING 10 ⭐️

Ive used this in the Netherlands, Japan and the USA. I have found this a valuable app since maps can be downloaded and used offline. User suggestions and reports are helpful too.

First used the Lite version on my iPhone 4S for a tour of Nice, France. It worked well while I kept my phone on airplane mode for the entire trip. I bought the regular version to add additional cities such as Montreal, Toronto, London UK, New York, Chicago, Shanghai, Beijing, Xian (unfortunately the map did not cover the terra cotta warriors site). CityMaps2Go remains the only app I have ever paid for. I regularly recommend it to friends and acquaintances. I find it especially good on my iPhone mini. The pointer on the location marker is especially useful when one emerges from a subway and can quickly ascertain the direction to proceed.

Great if you dont have cell data turned on. Wide coverage. Very useful!!!!
