CityMaps2Go – Offline Maps App Reviews

I am an international pilot and use this app frequently. I like the ability to quickly locate and mark places on the maps and make lists. I am disappointed that the $15 advanced version only provided additional maps and did not enable all of the features. I was then offered an additional purchase for $20 more to make the app fully capable. This is not explained in the app.

Great app. Works wonderfully. Gets me anywhere I want to go!

This is one of the best city maps around. You can see your hotel, whats around you and it will suggest places to see and do!

Good ap when data is sparse. Download what you need wherever data is available and dont worry about it.

Brilliant! Has everything to find your way -- even had all the steps on Mont Saint Michel so we could wander without worry!

I love this app. We travel quite a bit and I always download maps before I leave do i can use them off line. Very accurate

This app was extremely helpful in Rome. We used it everyday! I like the fact that you can search locations through the app and save them on your map. It makes sightseeing so much easier! Only glitch is you have to tap the direction arrow for it to find which way you are traveling. I would recommend this to everyone.

Onboard maps are so great when traveling internationally. Loads of detail and fully functional gps without hammering your data plan. Frequently updated with new or changed information.

This app is really great! You know exactly where you are and can mark places to see on the map so you can easily chart out your day.

They took away my offline maps and now wont let me have ANY? Whats the point? They may have good maps but theres other apps out there than wont make you pay just to get a single offline map.

We credit a fabulous trip to city maps to go. It transformed our trip we know where to go, how to get there, exactly where we were. What places we wanted to return to all because of this map. Dont go anywhere without it. We even use it locally. This app is fantastic! Dont hesitate to buy the Pro version. It made all the difference in the world. If youre going on a long trip spend a few extra for this app, it will transform your trip. Its worth every penny. Being able to download the Maps in advance and having them off-line and not requiring cell data or Wi-Fi is fantastic. We used the maps in Santorini, Athens, Mykonos, Turkey, Crete, Naples, Rome. And back in California too. Buy the Pro version!

Since I download the app it made my travel easier and wide open my surroundings. Keep it up, keep it around!

Used this ap to get around Florence, Venice and Rome without activating cellular. Worked as promised, if traveling and need help navigating around, download this ap. You wont be sorry.

Doing an epic Paris : Switzerland : New York City trio where I knew an Internet connection was going to be spotty (even with a AT&T Passport < which I would NOT recommend!) This app is a life saver - what an amazing benefit to be in the middle of nowhere - with no connection and instantly know where you are!!! This app is completely reliable!!! I bought the Paris standalone and, after using it for a day, bought the Pro. A word of note: the local versions and the pro have are a little bit different in the sense the the local versions give you more detail... So, by the Pro but still download the local one for the city where you are going. Youll get more for less! Well done. Well done!

This app is simply a life saver. You can see the map of the city and your position (just like a normal GOS), without the need of using data or been connected to wifi. It also allows you to plan your trip as you can pin the locations you want to visit. It also offers a search functionality, which worked amazingly for choosing restaurants. I used it on my last trip to Paris. It is a must to have on your phone!

This app is great. It will get you organized and map everything before your trip as well as give you advise and reviews. It covers everything from sights to restaurants to transportation. Its easy to use, puts your favorites into lists and then marks everything on the map. Download it. Trust me.

Wish it had a topography view or Sat view ( and maybe it does and I cant find it) I am currently in Mexico and my GPS shows more data than this app. One would think by paying full pop for the app it would have at least route navigation similar to google earth. Need the ability to choose a location and take me to it. Thank you
